I ran into Oz ball about two years ago! It was GREAT! These guys smash the crap out of each other and have no padding, equipment, nothing, but shorts, and jerseys !! This is a VERY cool game! We got nothing here on TV regularly with this stuff! I was watching that sissy soccer stuff and couldn't stand it anymore! I had to find something where people beat each other up intead of falling down like little girls! I appologize if this sounds rough, but really, come on! Instead of all the stupid rules taking over American Football these guy run all over the place and smash into things, its cool! Does anybody else appreciate this game! I don't understand the game directly and what's up with the guy in the funny hat pointing at people! How come nobody beats him up? ![]() More Oz Ball!!! |

I generally don't have any interest in sports, but I bet you'd enjoy watching rugby. |

I'm a fan of Aussie Rules. It was invented in Melbourne as a game that cricketers could play in the winter to keep fit and has since spread to everywhere else in Australia. It has a similar style of play to gaelic football. My team (Sydney Swans) won the national competition last year, and look like they might do it again this year. It's a fast, hard game with many injuries, requires lots of skill, and you had better be plenty tough if you want to play it. Kinda like ice hockey but without the ice, skates, puck, sticks, or padding. And yeah, the dweeb with the funny hat and silly hand movements is just asking for it. BTW, This morning Australia moved into the second round of the FIFA world cup, Soccer is a good game but there's not enough biffo. |

See!! See!! I try to tell people this! Great FUN! It's like a Bar Fight, Alfresco! I keep thinking that if they added a few rules it might tone it down to free-form cage fighting!! It's almost like playing a game!! My Fellow Americans, Share the Fantasy!! ![]() Oh! I forgot, Happy Birthday Nicki!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Billy Dean Thomas |

Billy, Seems like you have found your calling. I can see you setting up a league in your area! This sport looks absolutely brutal. Are there any rules? Jeff |
